Cornfood is  a homemade version of semovita. It tastes and feels like semovita. The fufu flour is made by mixing 2 parts of corn flour to 1 part of cassava flour. After it is made, it feels and looks like semovita. It a a good affordable substitute for semovita.

• Add 1 cup cassava flour and 2 cups corn flour in a bag and mix to combine.
• Add 2 cups of the mixed flour to a pan, then add 3 1/2 cups room temperature water. Mix to combine to form a thick consistency. Set it over medium heat and continue to stir. Stir and cook for about 10 minutes until it forms a solid ball of fufu.
• Add about 3/4 - 1 cup hot water to the pan, cover and let the fufu cook for about 5 minutes.
• After 5 minutes, stir and knead it against the side of the pan until everything is smooth and uniform. Add about 1/2 cup hot water, cover pan and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
• After 5 minutes, stir and knead the fufu until it is smooth and uniform. At this point the fufu would look smooth, stretchy, soft and solid.It is done. Serve and enjoy with your favorite soup.
