- Wash and cook beans in only water for about 30 - 40 minute until tender. Then decant and rinse the beans and let it drain.
- Wash and cook ham hock in only water for about an hour. Then rinse the ham hock to reduce the salt content and cut ham into chunks.
- Peel and cut sweet potatoes
- Slice and dice peppers and onion
- In a pan/pot add the palm oil and heat it up. Once hot, add the chopped onions and saute until translucent. Then add habanero pepper, ham hocks, seasoning cubes and some diced bell pepper and cook for about 7 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add beans, sweet potatoes and water to the same level of the beans and potatoes. Taste for seasoning and add as needed. Cover to cook for at least 30 minutes. Once done, add in the leftover veggies and stir to combine. Cook for 5 more minutes and the food is ready.

3 cups Honey Beans (Brown bean)
4 Smoked Ham hocks (Smoked turkey as substitute)
3 units Sweet Potatoes
2 Habanero Peppers
2 Bell Peppers
1 red Onion
1/2 cup Palm Oil (or any vegetable oil of choice)
2 Seasoning Cubes
Salt to taste
