Bread Roll | aka Dinner Roll

Simple and delicious bread rolls or dinner rolls with a simple bread recipe.  Bread is a universal food that is enjoyed by different cultures.  I am going to be making simple and delicious bread rolls or dinner rolls with a simple bread recipe. I will be giving tips on how to make bread without fail even a beginner would be able to follow along to achieve a desired result. 

• Microwave milk for 30 - 40 seconds. Add 1 tbsp sugar  and active yeast to warm milk. Set it aside to proof for 10 minutes. If it blooms, that means the yeast is alive
• Microwave the butter for 10 seconds to melt.
• In a bowl, add the flour, sugar, salt and stir to combine.
• Add the activated yeast and milk, melted butter and egg to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
• Knead the dough for about 3 mins and let it rest  for a few minutes if it is too sticky. Oil your hand and continue kneading for about 7 minutes until it forms a smooth ball of dough. Kneading of the dough creates gluten which is an essential part of bread. Oil the bowl and the dough so that the dough does not stick to any thing after it rises. Cover with a plastic wrap and napkin and put in a warm place to rise for 60 - 90 minutes. In the cold months, you can create a warm place in the oven by turning it on for a minute, then turn it off, leave the oven light on; place the dough in the oven to proof.
• After 90 minutes, deflate the dough and roll it out on a board. Cut the rolled out dough into 12 pieces and roll each into a small ball. Place each rolled dough into a greased pan and space them out so there would be room for them to rise. Cover the pan with a plastic wrap and napkin, place in a warm place for 60 minutes to rise the second time.
• After 60 minutes, preheat oven to 350 degrees F/180 degrees C. Then bake for 25 - 30 minutes.
• After 30 minutes or when it is done, apply butter over the rolls. This will add flavor and shine to the rolls. Let them cool and enjoy!

   Ingredients: 

• 3 cups All Purpose flour
• 1/4 cup Sugar
•  1/3 cup Butter (melted)
• 1 large Egg
•  1 packet/sachet Active Yeast
•  1 cup warm Milk
•  1 tsp Salt
